The unparalleled attraction to rap music has not withered, when it comes to Fidel Cashflow. Hailing from South Jamaica Queens, New York, Fidel displays an air of charisma, confidence, and clever wordplay that is not common to most. As a young rapper threatening to unseat his competition with his brutal and candid delivery, he joined talents with a few of his peers and formed several groups. But, after a few failed attempts as a group member and operating solely on the underground, he decided to position himself as a solo artist.
Musically inclined from a very early age, Cashflow attributes his perseverance to his friends and fellow artists; Vic “the Dutch” Vondoom (R.I.P.), Snipe the Stereotype, The Dreaded Rasta Arson, Lex Pete and Big Lou. In fact, it was Snipe who gave Fidel Cashflow his stage name. Cash is of Cuban decent, so both he and Snipe agreed that it was a perfect fit.
After dropping a handful of mixtapes and independent albums, it was only natural the young firebrand would hit the stage and perform in the presence of major artists likeSnoop Dogg, Pitbull, Rakim, Twista, Ja Rule, OGC, DMX, and Master P. Subsequently, he began to headline shows from New York to Florida.
Very comfortable on stage, Fidel Cashflow has mastered “playing to the audience”. He knows how to give them what they want. From throwing money and prizes into the crowd, to having voluptuous and sexy dancers on stage, the audience gets just enough to beg for more. Fidel’s rise from the underground is well documented with numerous mixtape appearances, airplay on internet, college and local radio stations. His FACES OF CASH mixtape hosted by Julia Beverly, along with his current album Year of the Hustler featuring Kool G Rap, attracted the attention of several media outlets. The Queens-bred hardcore rapper has received considerable press coverage in The Orlando Weekly, OZONE Magazine, Orlando Sentinel and Impact Press.
In addition to spitting leering raps about the street culture of good living and fine women, Fidel is gearing up for the release of Pure Cash Magazine. “It’s about independent music, culture and fashion. The first issue is set to drop in mid-July of 2007,” states the budding entrepreneur.
Cashflow appeals to a wide array of audiences. Fluent in Spanish and English, he transcends various expressions of music: up-north hiyenp-hop, down-south bounce, Latin Reggaeton, and more. He applies his lyrical brushstrokes to a variety of canvases. All his music is self-written. He has compiled an extensive library of songs throughout the years, which cover a wide range of topics. Topics have included club bangers, politics, pranks, skits, family life issues, and even spoofs of popular songs.
Cashflow describes his next album, “Pentoxicated,” as “his most creative, artistic piece of work yet.” And rightfully so. Mr. Fidel’s lyrical ability elevates the art of rocking the mic as he brings his unique presence to avid listeners. He explains, “My ability to put words together artistically is not only a way of expressing myself, but also a way to speak for others that feel the same way but can’t get it out.”
Since finding Pure Cash Entertainment in 1999, Fidel is using the philosophy of successful orientated moguls such as Jay-Z, Russell Simmons and Puffy to promote himself and fellow artists. Using a more proactive approach in his promotional strategy to brand his company is the best approach according to the CEO. Recently Fidel Cashflow appeared on BET’s Rap City, launched the first and second issue to Pure Cash Magazine and is on deck to releasing his latest album “Pentoxicated.”

Born in Ghana, West Africa, R.E.U.B arrived in the United States under political asylum and was raised throughout much of the east coast, from Maryland to New York. Though R.E.U.B may not speak his mother’s native tongue, his music definitely speaks the language of many. Most who first hear the rapper/producer compare his lyrical content and flow to artists such as Common and Little Brother. Listeners will also appreciate a style and diversity, as beautifully schizophrenic as hip-hop legends Nas or Tupac delivering equal parts of rawness, intelligence, honesty, and just straight fun. Therefore, it is no surprise that everyone from hip-hop purists to industry insiders are beginning to take notice of this artist that chooses not to have a “rap name” but better suited to his
business acumen and personality, an acronym based on his birth name: R.E.U.B ( Real Entrepreneur in the Underground Business of hip-hop). According to DJ Swift, “He will no doubt achieve the legendary status of KRS, Rakim, Tribe, De La, etc. because he’s real and he’s doing it right… fresh beats and on point lyrics.”
R.E.U.B uses his music not only to move bodies but also to heal others. He uses hip-hop as a religion through testimony, redemption, and, of course, controversy. R.E.U.B knows first-hand the struggles of being harassed as a young child for being ‘different’ because of his culture. Whether he was living in government housing or a middle class neighborhood, R.E.U.B raps about these experiences and many more in such a raw way that most people wouldn’t dare to. And like R.E.U.B often says, “my life is an open book”, and The (Black) Rapper Show is part of the first chapter of many that he is fearlessly allowing everyone to read.
