Ty Bru “Bannanas”

Ty Bru “Bannanas”

From the bull’s eye of a talent flourishing North Carolina, Asheboro’s 26 year old Ty Bru represents “The Way Hip Hop Should Be.”

After landing a free Biz Markie demo tape that was enclosed with a fresh pair of Converse shoes at the tender age of 8, a passion was birthed, and since then, has never faded.

Four years later, Bru wrote his first full song on the blank pages of his seventh grade yearbook, and at that moment he knew his life would forever revolve around music, a pen and a blank sheet.

Since then Bru has been in and out of the underground hip hop scene from state to state and even country to country. While chasing 5 degrees at Appalachian State University, Bru performed his raw and unrecorded tracks at local spots and fraternity/sorority functions, but that just wasn’t enough. Forming the group, Scan Fam along with 5 other student producers and emcees, what Bru was destined to become was slowly forming.

Picking up incredible speed, within two years the group had recorded three underground albums, “Rubix Cube”, “Round Two”, and “New Era” that pushed nearly 1,000 copies world wide.

Shortly after graduation, Bru went on a small tour through many European countries, France, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, England, Belgium, and Holland. Opening up for some of the hottest DJ’s and MC’s in each country.

Chasing multiple dreams Bru moved to China for a business career, but could never stay out of clubs and venues performing his college hits. Weekly sets at Club Hollywood in Suzhou, China verified that Bru was destined to rap.

After moving back to Asheboro in 2006, Bru immediately began working on shows, tracks and his solo project, “On The Brink”. Since then, Bru has shared the stage with North Carolinas best, including, Joe Scudda, Little Brother, Dre Rock The Phunk Warlock, Cellinski, Illpo, Ed E Ruger, J Bully, P Batters, The One Kemist and Ty Writer.

Bru’s unforgettable, energetic, and original up close and personal performances put him in a class all by himself and he has earned the right to open for Bubba Sparxxx, Andre 3000 (In Europe), Nappy Roots, and most recently Coolio. In August of 2007, Ty Bru will open for Public Enemy in New York City.

His style successfully combines witty punchlines, real life situations, passion and fierce deliveries with every genre of the hip hop world. Now with Bru’s freshman solo album, “On The Brink” finished, he looks to shake things up nationwide using the incredible momentum that he has already established.

With main production by one of the hottest up and coming N.C. producers, Ty Writer, the album is already creating noise. Mix that in with production by Hammadi (Shareefa, Kelis, Cl Smooth etc), Double J The Jenius (Illpo, Ed E Ruger), J Coleman, and also one of the hottest producers in South Africa, Ootz it is a sure ear and soul pleaser, proving Ty Bru is exactly “The Way Hip Hop Should Be.”

Self Dunn “Get it Live”

Self Dunn “Get it Live”

DUNN (Born June 29 1970) is a Hip-Hop Artist, Lyrist, song writer and producer. SELF has been regarded as one of the most influential Mc’s of his era arguably all-time.

Biography
Dunn was born in Camden, NJ. But Bread in the Philadelphia area. The Name “SELF” derived from an affirmation of his manhood. (Strength Endurance Love Fulfillment) It was an acronym that became his credo. Dunn never knew his father and spent four years in the foster care system. He used his negative situations as a plat form to be somebody. One night, at a party at the club, he was handed the mic and told to represent for the hood, and he put it down! Dunn had earned his respect as a battling freestyle champion, defeating his peers and older Mc’s alike. Ever since then he has been encouraged to make music.

Career
SELF started out entering in Dj supremacy contest, as a Mc, all over the tri-state area. Dunn also was part of a few local break dance crews and two graffiti hit squads (1983-1985). After years of battling and talent shows, he shot his 1st video / rap commercial for recycling (1987).

Due to his blind ambition and lack of direction, self did not see the benefits of his skills and didn’t know what else to do with them. After gaining a well known rep for a thorough “B-boy”, and performing internationally, he wasn’t satisfied and could not see a career developing. Dunn stepped away from the Music and chased after some money opportunities (1986).

Years later it seemed the music pulled him back in. He was recruited to be a member of a local group called Total chaos(1993); who was negotiating a deal with Jive records and had marketed themselves as an opening act for the likes of: Notorious B.I.G, WU-Tang-Clan, KRS1, and Keith Murray(1994-1995). Members of the group decided to go solo.

In 2000 a musician and some friends all approached him and encouraged him to give it another shot. They felt he never lost his skills so they offered him free studio time and recorded several songs. Some which can be heard on Myspace/selfmaderecordshotmailcom, sound click, Joint Account Entertainment Mix tape “A Tribute to Hip-Hop”, Capone’s pod cast digital mix tape and a growing host of Internet radio stations, nation wide and international. His music is also being reviewed by radio disc jockeys, independent and underground magazine companies’ world wide.

Dunn has started an Independent record label “SELF MADE RECORDS “and is releasing his first single off the mix tape “Get it Live” July 7th, 2007 for international air play.

Dazire-Champion ft Tuskani

Dazire

Born in Jersey and raised “from PK to LI”, DAZIRE emerges from the streets with a musical talent that is well… straight bananas! From the eager age of twelve she began writing rhymes about life and its harsh realities. Losing love and friends through street violence has inspired some of her most influential and hood controversial records. As a youth she bobbed and weaved life’s hardships but states “ When they expected me to sink with the rising tides, I jumped the waves like a surfer from CA”. Dazire A.k.A. Boss Bitch has without a doubt produced massive amounts of potential hit singles and definite club bangers. With songs like “Bounce” and “Boss Bitch: 101”, she is ready to put New York back on the map. She names rap mogul Jay-z as most influential-that’s right H to the O-V. She has made guest appearances and has performed at nightclubs, radio stations, and numerous promotional venues. Futuristically speaking, you’ll be hearing a lot more from this self-proclaimed Boss Bitch!Boss Bitch!
