Former California drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Rossmay be heading back to prison for allegedly violating his probation.
According to a report by AllHipHop Ross, now a community activist, is being accused of associating with convicted felons by placing phone calls to former inmates.
He will face a judge tomorrow (October 11) to learn his fate and could be facing an additional six months in prison.
“These were people that I served the majority of my time with, people who helped me,” Rick Ross explained of the calls. “I’m talking about guys who taught me how to read and write, guys who helped me with my case and eventually my freedom.”
Ross will face the same judge tomorrow that sentenced him to life in prison in 1996 for attempting to purchase 100 kilos of cocaine from a federal agent.
His sentence was lightened when it was discovered that one of his sources was connected to the CIA and the Iran-Contra scandal. ‘
He was released in 2009 and has since been a model citizen and community activist in the L.A. area.
“[The judge and I] have a long history. It’s going to be like an old reunion,” said Ross. “She knows me well and I believe she will be impressed that I haven’t committed any crimes. She knows I don’t lie to her and I think she respects me. The last time I saw her, she knocked four years off my sentence. I think she did that because of how far I came. She hasn’t seen me in five or six years, so when she see me now, I’ve grown even more.”
